Classic collectors piece necklace of three silver plaques decorated with niello. Southern Morocco, region of Akhsass and Ait Ba Amran. Recent models do not have niello but this does. The old silver plaques are separated by balls of fossil amber, shells, buttons and glass and plastic beads. One is an ancient bead. All the amber beads are natural. A typical authentic rural mix. A similar necklace is illustrated in the main reference book Bijoux de Maroc. Edisud p39 
Bead to bead measures 14ins/36cms but with string is around 20 ins in length.
I have restrung it on new string exactly as it would have been by a tribal woman of the region.
