A beauiful, fairly contemporary bangle from the Tharu in Northern India or Southern Nepal. The Tharu consider themselves apeople of the forest. They developed a unique culture free from the influence of adjacent India, or from the ethnic groups in Nepal's mountains. 20th century.
Inner diameter is 6.2 cms at the widest and 5.8 at the smallest. 
Weight 40 grams, the silver is of good quality. There is a very slight dent on the inside that does not affect the general shape.
