A wonderful Berber or Amazigh necklace with a gorgeous repaired fossil amber bead. Original homespun stringing with an old large amber bead measuring 3 x 4 cms with a repair. 20 x 2cm to 3cm long red Mediteranean natural beads surround the amber bead. Length bead to bead is 34 cms, 13 inches, length with string 60cms. Weight 136 grams. You can see similar rich necklaces worn in the vintage photograph of a woman from the Souss regions.
