A Kazakh necklace of silver work similar in workmanship to the ring of the lady in the book photo. This type of silver work of intricate stampwork over a glass or carnelian stone is typical of the area in the latter 19th and early 20th centuries.
This is quite a magnificant necklace of graduated teardrop shapes, the largest being 7cms long and 6cms wide. The ruler in the photos is an inch ruler.
