Women’s cloths of this quality are even rarer than those for men, I think
because relatively few women had sufficient spare income to patronise the best weavers.
This superb woman’s cloth in an unusual purple colour, and exceptional elaboration and variety of weft faced blocks
and primarily geometric supplementary weft float motifs. Pinks and orange predominate in the colour
palette to vibrant effect.
