This is a shawl, called handira. It comes from the Aït Yazza fraction of the Aït Hadiddou tribe, settled in the high Assif Melloul valley. They live in Imilchil and around, in the central High Atlas. Used in the famous yearly wedding ceremony. Dimensions: Hand woven in wool and in perfect condition. It has been dry cleaned. Makes a wonderful throw. 170 x 105 cms.
