Mid 20th century handloomed cotton Waziri shawl with pink silk ends. There are two sections joined together length wise. There are some dark spots on the body of the shawl which I hope show on the photos, in general it is in good condition.
The Wazirs or Waziris (Pashto: وزير) are a Karlani Pashtun tribe found mainly in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region of North and South Waziristan. They are famed for their beautiful wedding shawls as well as shawls for men, which tend to be navy but the magenta pink silk is usually a feature.
