Wonderful collectors item, a pair of Tunisian flat temporals, originally for wearing either side of the head or headress, they make wonderful pendants. One side is a gate of Paradise motif and the other Fatima hands or khamsas. The Jewish silversmith influence can be seen in the fine filigree and enamel work as well as with the Khamsas which were a Jewish amulet foremost and which passed into North African Muslim cultures.
